Hello all, I hope you have been doing great. It's 10pm, 12/31/15, I am sitting on my desk, drinking lemongrass tea, on my laptop drafting this post and, I just can't believe the year 2015 has come to an end. What an eventful year it was for me. Normally, I get tired of the same old new year, new me slogans. Nonetheless, I felt new this 2015. It was a year of spiritual, mental and emotional growth. Just a recap of my year, I moved back to Dallas from DC, I travelled to my country of birth, Cameroon for the first time in 13yrs, I finally visited Haiti, I learned how to make soap, I re-launched my blog, I got numb to rejections, I got my heart broken, I gained weight(my mom overfed me lol), but as the year came closer to an end, I made it to 24yrs, I participated in prayer sessions, I got great news, I read so many books and I found happiness. What a year. I thank God for letting me have these experiences but most importantly, for opening his arms and holding me throughout. With that said, see below, a few things I took from 2015 that I will be moving forward with into the new year.
- Never give up
- Be patient and persistent
- Practice makes permanent
- Laughter will always be good for your soul
- It's ok to be vulnerable
- It's ok to cry
- Let go and let God
- Put yourself first
- Prayer is the master key
- Always chose happiness
- Write down your plans, and speak them to existence
- Last but not least, Love with all your heart.
